Insurance Requirements

Security Mini Storage requires all tenants provide proof of insurance coverage for all property stored at the facility.

If you already have homeowners or renters policy, it may cover your personal items while they are in a self-storage facility. Please review your policy or contact your carrier to find out.

If you are providing your own insurance, we need a copy of your current certificate of insurance or declarations page for our records. If you do not have insurance that covers your stored items and wish to purchase it, a third-party insurance program is available that provides insurance coverage for property legally stored at Security Mini Storage.

Under the tenant insurance program, protection for your stored personal property is provided under an insurance policy issued to Security Mini Storage. Our tenants are able to simply select the appropriate coverage amount they wish to have, and the monthly fee is directly added to their monthly rent balance due.
